Daily dose of glitz and glamor – Experience glitter wrestling at Northside

As you walk down towards the Nova stage, you will find the large Side-show tent on the left. The tent hosts a varied program every day with cabaret, DJs, soloists and, not least, glitter wrestling. If you take a look inside the tent, you will be greeted by a burlesque atmosphere that sets the scene for the day's entertainment.

Here the audience sits around the large stage in the middle of the tent. The atmosphere is intense in anticipation of today's performance. Glitter wrestling in particular is one of the highlights and always draws a packed crowd. Based on last year's overwhelming demand, this year the festival has elevated wrestling to a daily event.

The participants in glitter wrestling, dressed in nothing but underwear, smeared with oil and wearing long stockings in either blue or red, take the stage by storm. Your assignment? To remove the opponent's socks first and thus crown oneself the victor. During the heated moments of the match, the contestants are sprinkled with glitter that sticks to the oiled bodies.

In this discipline finds north side not pre-selected gladiators, but volunteers from the audience who dare to take up the challenge. The male visitors in particular throw away their clothes, smear themselves with oil and jump into the battle with great courage. The audience is on the sidelines, where they cheer and cheer, especially when a sock is finally untied.
