The wide boulevards and local life

It is especially Ingerslev Boulevard, which gives the district its international touch. Here the sky is high, and the large old trees form a green tunnel down through the city. Twice a week, the central discount is transformed into one of the country's largest outdoor street markets. Every Wednesday and Saturday you can buy everything from freshly caught fish and freshly churned honey to flowers and vegetables directly from local growers. This is where neighbors meet, and the pulse really slows down.

At the end of Ingerslevs Boulevard lies the large area called Harald Jensens Plads. Here are large red buildings with apartment after apartment and in the summer, when the trees sprout, they are surrounded by green areas.

Gastronomy and shopping in a special class

Frederiksbjerg is known as the city's pantry. In Jægergårdsgade, restaurants, wine bars and small cafés are close together, and the atmosphere is relaxed and creative. Here you will also find ceramists, galleries and unique design.

If you walk down MP Bruuns Gade, you will find the specialty shops. This is the street where you go when you want the best steak from the butcher, specialty cheese or freshly baked sourdough bread. It is a district that cultivates good craftsmanship and high quality.

The street also has a social life. This is where you will find the popular and authentic taverns, which are open every day of the week if you need some socializing. If you want to end the evening with a great movie experience, you can even slip straight into the IMAX cinema via the entrance from the street.

In the woods are both Tivoli Friheden, Ceres arena and The memorial park. On a hot summer day, you can actually go for a walk or cycle Ballehage beach at Varna and The Infinite Bridge. Depending on where you live on Frederiksbjerg, the distance is between 2-3 km.

In addition to the area by the forest, there is also a city park in the middle of Frederiksbjerg, Skanseparken. Here there are lots of benches and you can also take a blanket under your arm and have a picnic on the lawn. For the children, there is a large playground at Skansen Hus og Have, located in the park. The city park is very popular among the many dog owners who take the trip around the park with their dog.

Shopping center and the busy avenue

Just around the corner, the small specialty shops are complemented by Bruuns Galleri. The center is open until 20 p.m., which makes everyday life easier when you need a pair of shoes or personal care products after work. If you need to fill up the refrigerator, the large department store Kvickly is also strategically well located with easy access directly from Jægergårdsgade.

If you need more, Frederiks Allé is right next door. It is a busy access road, but also a lively shopping street filled with supermarkets, restaurants, hairdressers and takeaways. Here you often have to cross the street to get everything, but in return you will find everything you need in everyday life.
