Spooky Halloween trip
Spooky Halloween trip
When darkness descends over the forest and twilight spreads between the trees, the old tales come to life. Join us on an atmospheric and slightly spooky walk through the Manor Park, the cemetery and the dark Ellesump, where bat lanterns and your imagination are the only things that light the way.
On this approximately 3 km long All Saints' Day walk, we delve into superstitions, fairy girls, legends and ghost stories that have frightened and fascinated for centuries. Along the way, we will tell you about the old customs and rituals associated with All Saints' Day – from Celtic harvest festivals and Christian saints' days to the modern versions of the holiday we know today.
The tour is led by facilitators who weave history and folklore together in an enchanting darkness, where every creak in the forest floor and every rustle in the bush sets the imagination in motion.
