Flamenco New Year's Eve on Turquoise: Rasmus Dissing and Spanish Legends

The venue turkis and the Flamenco Theatre invite you to a sensual all-night experience, where Andalusian rhythms meet Danish songs. Look forward to an evening with a concert, integrated sherry tasting and subsequent jam in the company of Rasmus Dissing and international guests.

On Saturday, January 31st, turquoise will be the setting for a different New Year's celebration that fuses music and wine tasting. The evening starts with a glass of cava before the audience is taken on a journey through both the Spanish and Danish soundscapes.

The collaboration builds on an artistic connection that was created in 2016 between flamenco ambassador Kirstine Hastrup and Povl Dissing in Jerez. Today, his son Rasmus Dissing continues the legacy. He interprets Danish songs in a new light when they meet the intense expression of flamenco, delivered by strong forces such as singers Pedro “Niño de la Fragua” and Lucia Aliaño directly from Spain.

During the concert, sherry connoisseur Thorbjørn Carl Hjalager guides guests through three carefully selected types of sherry – from the crisp dry Fino to the sweet PX. It is not a dry lecture, but an integral part of the experience, where taste buds and hearing are stimulated simultaneously. The evening is rounded off with informal flamenco jam, flamenco jazz and an open stage, where the atmosphere is allowed to continue.

Time: Doors open at 7:00 PM (Cava upon arrival). Concert starts at 8:00 PM.

Adult: 390 DKK (+ fee).
Young (under 25 years): 150 DKK (+ fee).

Availability: There is level-free access to the entire venue as well as a disabled toilet.
Companion: Companions have free admission (upon presentation of a valid companion card).
Children: Children up to and including 12 years of age have free admission when accompanied by an adult.
Bar: The bar offers a delicious selection of organic drinks as well as Turkish tea and coffee.
