Are you ready for an evening of raw energy and uncompromising soundscapes? On Monday, May 18, 2026, Phono will be visited by two of the most exciting names from the American underground, when Sword II from Atlanta and Rocket from Los Angeles will stop by Aarhus.
Sword II have created their most ambitious music in an Atlanta basement, where the smell of mold and threats of eviction have shaped their creative process. The band brings together a wide range of inspirations, from the sonic complexity of Kate Bush to the raw energy of hardcore punk and the layered intensity of My Bloody Valentine. The result is a sound that is defiant, electrifying and deeply rooted in real-life experiences.
You'll also get the chance to experience Rocket, which emerged in a small, anonymous rehearsal space in Los Angeles in 2021. The four members have known each other since childhood, and their music is marked by a deep mutual understanding and an upbringing in the city's vibrant DIY scene. It's authentic rock, created by friends with a shared love of record stores and intimate concert experiences.
