Are you ready for an evening where Danish rock history is brought back to life? After six years of silence and a critically acclaimed final concert at Copenhell in 2024, fans all over the country have been clamoring for more. Now it's finally happening: Sort Sol will go on a Danish tour in 2026, and on Wednesday, May 6, you can experience them in the magnificent setting of Musikhuset's Great Hall.
Sort Sol are nothing less than institutions in Danish music. From their roots in punk as Sods to their status as kings of dark, atmospheric rock, they have always gone their own way. The concert in Aarhus will be a unique chance to see the band in its strongest formation with Steen Jørgensen, Lars Top-Galia and Tomas Ortved at the forefront.
A journey through an award-winning treasure trove of songs
You can prepare for an intense concert experience. The repertoire spans their entire musical breadth – from the quiet and haunting classics like “Let Your Fingers Do The Walking” and “Copenhagen” to the grand rock numbers like “Siggimund Blue” and “Popcorn”. Music demands its space, and the Great Hall is the perfect setting to let the sound and magic envelop the audience.
With them on stage, the trio has two competent gentlemen in the form of Anders “AC” Christensen on bass and Manoj Ramdas on guitar, both of whom have played with names like The Raveonettes. In other words, an evening of the absolute highest musical quality is set for when Sort Sol returns to the city to prove that their darkness still burns as brightly as ever.
