Ready to go to Smukfest in the beech forest, Denmark's most beautiful festival? It will be a party in the forest, with lots of music and fun activities under the beech trees and by the lakes. You will be able to experience everything from Danish talents to international stars, so remember to warm up your voice to the collective songs!
The festival also has a funny story behind it – it was founded on FestiWalther's 400th birthday, and he is still the festival's mascot today. FestiWalther is a music-loving forest troll who, according to legend, was born in Skanderborg's beech forests in 1579. So if you see a little guy with green pants and a guitar, it's him!
But Smukfest is not only about music – there are also lots of fun activities and food stalls. So you will be able to taste everything from local specialties to international dishes. Just remember to take a food and drink break every once in a while so you don't get a food coma in the middle of the concert.
Smukfest does a lot to include everyone, with handicap-friendly camping, ramps with a view of the stage for wheelchair users and as part of the Solsikke program, which focuses on invisible disabilities and creates an inclusive environment for all festival-goers. So there is no excuse to stay at home!
All in all, Smukfest will be a fantastic party where you can enjoy good music, fun activities and meet new people – and who knows, maybe you'll come across FestiWalther along the way! So pack the tent and the cool festival outfit and come to Denmark's Most Beautiful Festival!
At Smukfest there are plenty of different camping areas to choose from. Some are quieter at night, while others love to party. And then you can choose between walking or taking the shuttle bus to the festival site.
At Smukfest there are many different ways to stay, and that is precisely part of the festival's charm. There are both simple tents and small luxury tents to choose from. And the best part is that pitching a tent is free if you have a ticket. You can live in the middle of the community and be close to all the fun.
If you need extra facilities, there is also disabled-friendly camping at Landsbyen Sølund. So no matter who you are, you can find a good camping option at Smukfest.
