A waltz can be beautiful and light – but what happens when emotions take over and the rhythm slips?
In Slinger i walsen, DON GNU embarks on a humorous and moving exploration of friendship, anger and love. Two men try to dance the waltz of life – one round and bubbly, the other tall and creaky. They build ladders, knock them over again, struggle to understand and be understood.
Then a stranger enters. A third pulse that disrupts the pattern – not as a solution, but as an opening. Together the three balance between anger and play, laughter and chaos, and suddenly even the fall becomes a dance.
With the physical poetry of slapstick, the rhythm of silent film and the energy of action theatre, Slinger in the Waltz shows that it is in the imperfect that we find connection. DON GNU invites the audience to laugh, feel and recognize themselves in the crooked steps.
