Name It Kids Run 2026

Are you ready to give your children a completely unique experience in the heart of Aarhus? On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Aarhus Motion will hold the traditional and popular children's race, Name It Kids Run. It is a day when the City Hall Park and the Music Hall Park will be transformed into a gigantic running party, and where children will be allowed to run on part of the official route for the big half marathon, which will start the following day.

Whether your child is a fast runner or prefers to walk with you, there is room for everyone aged 0-14. The 1,6 km route is completely cordoned off and takes place in a safe environment around Frederiks Allé, where plenty of cheerleaders and entertainment ensure that spirits are high all the way to the finish line.

Much more than just a race

When you register your child for the Name It Kids Run, they get not just a running experience, but a whole day full of fun. At the start and finish area, you can meet the mascot Birdy and many of the city's other mascots, ready to give high-fives and encouragement. There are also special cheering zones with music and balloons, making the ride through the city a great experience.

As an added bonus, you are helping to support a good cause. For every registration, Aarhus Motion donates 20 DKK to Danish Hospital Clowns, who make a huge difference for hospitalized children in Danish hospitals.
