Get ready for an evening that will be both moving, raw and incredibly authentic. On Saturday, May 23, the large outdoor stage in Tivoli Friheden will be the setting for the tribute concert MADSEN. What makes this evening truly special is the man in front: Johnny Madsen's son, Rasmus Madsen, who, together with a tightly knit band, will take us on a journey through his father's enormous musical universe.
Throughout his life, Rasmus Madsen has been very close to the songs that the rest of Denmark has learned to love. He knows every chord and every anecdote behind the blue glasses. When he steps on stage, it is therefore not just a reproduction of the hits, but a personal and loving interpretation delivered with the right West Jutland nerve and respect for the material.
Under the open sky in Friheden, you can look forward to singing along to all the immortal classics. From the great rock anthems like “Færgemanden” and “Udenfor Sæsonen” to the more quirky and humorous gems like “Aquarium Fish”. Rasmus Madsen and the band manage to capture the unpolished energy and dry, West Jutland humor that was always his father's trademark.
It will be an evening where generations come together to pay tribute to one of Danish music's most significant figures. Season Pass Platinum or Season Pass Deluxe gives free access to Fat Friday and Fat Saturday concerts.
The price without a season ticket increases towards the day of the concert and there may be changes in start and end times.
Guests under the age of 14 are only allowed in the park for concerts when accompanied by an adult.
It is not permitted to bring your own drinks into the concert area.
