You will have a very special opportunity to experience a new chapter in Danish music history when Lakes & Fires visits VinDanmark on Friday, February 6, 2026. The band is formed by three of Denmark's most recognized musicians: Shaka Loveless, Lasse Boman and Birk Nevel, who you are sure to know from countless hits and projects. Now they come together again to create music that is free from expectations and is centered around groove, mental images and longing.
Three friends, a creative urge and a life in music
Birk Nevel, Lasse Boman and Shaka Loveless have played together in various constellations since the beginning of the zeros, including in the hip-hop collective “Gypsies” and the indie band “Are We Brothers?”. Individually, they have achieved great success: Shaka Loveless won a DMA, Lasse Boman has written huge hits for artists such as Uro and Drew Sycamore, and Birk Nevel is an award-winning producer and drummer known from “The Family” with Benjamin Hav.
With Lakes & Fires, the three friends have created a free space where they can let the music be exactly what it wants. What started as instrumental jam sessions developed into an atmospheric universe where vocals and lyrics contribute to creating images and atmospheres, but are not the essence of the songs. As they themselves put it: “Our songs are the sound of our longings from a long life in the music industry – things we had to get out to keep the love of music alive.” Look forward to experiencing an evening of music that explores the boundaries of creativity in an intimate setting at VinDanmark.
