Hearts & Minds Festival 2025 – the brain in focus

How are thoughts, emotions and memory actually connected? What happens in the brain when we fall in love, get anxious – or listen to music? And how do we keep our brain healthy throughout our lives?

Hearts & Minds Festival returns to Dokk1 in Aarhus from September 19th to 21st with a weekend packed with knowledge, art and community. This year, the festival delves into the body's most complex organ: the brain.

The program combines short, intense formats with big questions and curious angles. You can immerse yourself in everything from consciousness and emotions to artificial intelligence, gender and creativity – and meet some of the country's leading researchers, experts and artists along the way.

Experience:

  • Lectures and talks with researchers and professionals
  • Workshops and interactive activities for both body and mind
  • Exhibitions, art and sensory formats
  • A weekend where it's fun and social to learn more

Hearts & Minds Festival is about feeling, understanding and experiencing – together with others. Here, research becomes alive and relevant. There are lots of free experiences, but registration is required for most events.

Practical:

  • Time: September 19–21, 2025
  • Price: Many events are free
  • Duration: All weekend – come and go as you please
