Esben Just is known for his strong piano style and his love for the music of New Orleans. Together with his all-star team consisting of Niclas Bardeleben on drums, Ole Skipper on double bass and Stefan Ringive on trombone, he creates a vibrant and captivating universe. The music is raw, groovy and full of joy to play with roots in tradition and an eye for the contemporary.
The audience can expect a concert with lots of nerve, second line feel and rhythms that get both feet moving and the atmosphere going. It is an evening where jazz is allowed to fill the room, and where you will quickly be carried away by the energy from the stage.
Over the years, Esben Just has made a name for himself in a number of projects and has a close relationship with New Orleans and the city's musical traditions. This is clearly evident in his playing, where the characteristic piano style from the southern states has become part of his very own expression.
