Dance performance ENS for young people

How do you find the balance between being yourself and the desire to fit in with the community? On February 11 and 12, you can experience the poignant dance performance “ENS” at Teaterhuset Filuren in Musikhuset Aarhus. The performance delves into the big questions of youth life in a time characterized by Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok, where the pursuit of validation and the perfect glossy image fills everything.

“ENS” is created by the renowned sART Danseteater and addresses the human conflicts that many young people face every day: the need to be unique and independent versus the security that comes from being reflected in others and being accepted. It is a performance that dares to touch on loneliness and the price one sometimes has to pay to feel like part of the crowd.

Play, humor and poetry in motion

Through three strong female performers, a space filled with courageous ideals that can inspire is created. As is characteristic of sART, the serious topics are conveyed with a mixture of play, humor and vulnerability. Choreographer Sofie Christiansen and scenographer Julie Forchhammer, together with musician Melodi Ghazal, have created a universe where movement and music merge into a thought-provoking story.

The performance is particularly aimed at young people aged 12 and over, but it is equally relevant for adults who want to gain insight into the dynamics that characterize today's youth culture.
