In his new one-man show Mod Menneske!, Carsten Eskelund tackles all the big and small lies we tell ourselves. And he does it as only he can: with wry humor, surprising realizations, and a solid amount of self-irony.
It all began – like so many existential epiphanies – with an encounter with some aggressive wall art at a mid-range hotel in the Triangle area. And then it dawned on him: It's over with being cool. Something has to happen.
Carsten Eskelund is known for never taking the straight path, and Against Man! is his personal and comical manifesto for a life with more clarity and fewer excuses. It is wise, loving and razor-sharp – and there is still hope, even though we are human.
