On Wednesday, January 8, BAAL Train transforms into a glam rocking, cabaret-inspired fireworks display when the band invites you to the Baalorama New Year's Extravaganza, an uncompromising celebration of the 30th anniversary of the legendary album Sensorama.
It won't be a quiet evening of speeches and retrospectives. On the contrary, it will be a sensual, theatrical and wild show, where BAAL, with glitter in their hair and dust on their boots, will pay tribute to three decades of musical freedom, the drama of rock and everything that doesn't fit.
The audience can look forward to a magnificent concert experience, where sweaty guitar solos, dark cabaret and soul-rending vocals come together in a unique New Year's party that can only be experienced in six places in the country.
Instead of playing Sensorama from start to finish, BAAL reinvents the work in a playful and emotional show, where songs and moods from the band's back catalogue are intertwined with new interpretations and musical surprises.
To make the celebration even more spectacular, BAAL is joined by four of Denmark's strongest voices: Sebastian Wolff, Dicte, Kira Skov and Steen Jørgensen. Together with BAAL, they create a musical masquerade ball where no one quite knows what's going to happen until it happens.
“Sensorama was our attempt to build a cathedral of glam, rock and theatre in the midst of 90s grunge. Now we're building it again but without a clue, with open arms and in party clothes,” says BAAL.
Take a deep breath. Get dressed. Go. Baalorama awaits.
