About the exhibition
In The Sunken Boat, Anna Boghiguian explores migration, power, and human change in works that feel both poetic and politically incisive. Her signature paper silhouettes and fragmented narratives bring voices of the past to life and reflect them in the turmoil of the present.
The exhibition consists of five major works and marks Boghiguian's first solo exhibition at a museum in the Nordic region. It is created in collaboration with Turner Contemporary in England.
About the artist
Anna Boghiguian (b. 1946) is an Egyptian-Canadian artist of Armenian descent. Her works are influenced by her many travels and her interest in philosophy, literature, and the connections that bind people and cultures together.
The exhibition is curated by Louise Bjeldbak Henriksen.
