Open Stage on Turquoise: Grab the microphone or listen in

Do you have something on your mind, or do you just want to be inspired by the city's emerging talent? turquise and Young Danish Poets invite you to an evening of the power of words, where the stage is open to everyone. Whether you want to perform with poems, songs or stories, the microphone is yours.

This evening, the spoken word and creative expression are celebrated when turquise opens its doors for a very special Open Stage. The concept is simple. The stage is free, and everyone is welcome to join in. This applies to both those on stage and the audience in the hall, who help create the safe and curious atmosphere.

The event is presented in collaboration with Unge Danske Digtere, an Aarhus-based association known for creating literary events around the city. To kick off the evening, they are presenting two of their own strong profiles.

You can experience Emil Riisager, who merges spoken word with rap flow. His lyrics revolve around youth life and life from paycheck to paycheck in the big city. In addition, William Sommer takes the stage. He is a local Aarhusian who mixes rap and poetry in a sharp criticism of both society and himself.

The goal of the evening is to mix experienced voices with brand new talents. It is precisely in the meeting of differences that inspiration arises.
