The Infinite Bridge is one of Aarhus' most iconic landmarks.
The Infinite Bridge is located at Ballehage Beach, where Marselisborg Forests meets Aarhus Bay. The circular wooden bridge has become one of the most photographed places in the city and a popular excursion destination for both Aarhusians and visitors. An experience between forest and sea
There's something special about the Infinity Bridge. Its circular shape invites you to slow down and just stay a little longer. Some come to swim, others enjoy a cup of coffee overlooking the bay, while many simply take a walk and let their eyes follow the horizon.
In the summer, the area is bustling with life with beachgoers and bathers. Ballehage BeachEarly in the morning and late in the day the atmosphere is completely different. Here there is peace, the sound of waves against the wooden structure and a view of the sun reflecting in Aarhus Bay.
From work of art to Aarhus icon
The Infinite Bridge was created by architects Johan Gjøde and Niels Povlsgaard as part of the art exhibition Sculpture by the Sea in 2015. The bridge was originally intended as a temporary installation, but it quickly became so popular that it has since returned every summer.
Every spring, the bridge's elements are reassembled, and in the autumn it is taken down before winter sets in. It is therefore only part of the landscape during the summer months, making the reunion a permanent tradition for many Aarhusians.
A place that many return to
The Infinite Bridge has become a place where people meet. Some take their first morning dip, others enjoy the sunset over the bay, and many choose the bridge as a backdrop for wedding photos or a quiet walk along the coast.
The Municipality of Aarhus also offers weddings on the bridge during the summer months. With the sea as a backdrop and the forest right behind it, it is one of the city's most atmospheric settings for a very special day.

Parking
Free parking is available near the bridge and at Dyrehaven.
Public transport
Bus 31 stops at Varna close to the bridge.
Bathing
The bridge is located at Ballehage Beach, where you can swim directly from the beach or take a dip from the bridge.
Food and drinks
The kiosk by the beach is open seasonally with ice cream, barbecued food and cold drinks.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash.
Toilets
Public toilets are available at Dyrehaven.
Walking distance from Aarhus C
You can follow the coastal path from Tangkroen to Den Uendelige Bro. The walk is about two kilometers and offers great views of Aarhus Bay.
