Paths and trees in Brendstrup Forest
Brendstrup Forest is crisscrossed by paths, so it is easy to find your way. You will quickly meet others who are out for a walk, run or just enjoy nature. The trees in the forest are primarily beech, oak and larch, a mixture of tall, older trees from the 1990s and the newer, smaller trees, which provide variety in the landscape.
One of the special things is how close the trees are. It can almost feel like a wall of trunks when you move away from the path. This makes Brendstrup Skov an exciting place to explore, but also a bit challenging if you move outside the established paths.
The Fairytale Forest in Aarhus
Brendstrup Forest can feel a bit like a fairy tale forest. Here, the thin trunks stand close together, and the green is mostly found in the treetops high above you. When you walk under the natural canopy of leaves, you get the feeling of being in a magical forest, where the light filters down through the leaves.
In some places you can slip between the trees, where the forest floor is more open and covered with low vegetation. It is precisely these small passages that make a walk in Brendstrup Forest something special, a place where you can let your imagination wander.
